Campbell Union High School DistrictFive Performing Art Centers were designed for campuses within the Campbell Union High School District. The 8,200 sf buildings were designed to have identical main theatre complexes with different lobbies and entrance structures designed to complement the architecture of the adjacent structures at each of the individual campuses. The new theaters will allow performing arts students to explore their multimedia, visual arts, stage craft and theatre production skills. The flexible space also allows for alternative uses such as conference facilities for teachers and administration, additional assembly/lecture space for students, and performance space for the communities of Campbell, Saratoga, and San Jose. Biggs Cardosa also assisted the Architect with many of the architectural details for the buildings and provided services during construction.

Bellarmine College Preparatory Academic BuildingAfter 61 years, one of the oldest buildings on the campus was demolished and replaced with a new state-of-the-art academic building. The 52,829 sf building is two stories and features 27 new classrooms, as well as a 2,000 sf academic resource center, Principal’s suite, conference rooms, a faculty lounge and workrooms.

Allan Hancock Community College - Skills CenterBiggs Cardosa provided structural engineering services for the design of a state-of-the-art science building on the campus of Allan Hancock Community College, located on California’s Central Coast. This $22 million two-story 44,000 sf building houses health occupation and science labs for both dental and nursing students, administrative offices and computer centers. Daves Elementary SchoolThe project included remodeling of Daves Elementary School located in Los Gatos. Our scope of work included the design of two new buildings and the retrofit and remodel of four existing classrooms. The new buildings are one and two story and include over 58,000 sf. These buildings house classrooms, a cafeteria and a stage.

St. Mary's Abby Sobrato Junior High SchoolBiggs Cardosa provided Structural Engineering services for the Design/Build of new 13,365 sf, two-story classroom building on the campus of St. Mary’s Parish and School. The new junior high replaces a more than 50-year-old structure. The new building was designed with integrated technologies, including classrooms equipped with Apple TVs and wireless service that allow teachers and students to watch and produce digital class content that is displayed in high resolution on Sharp monitors. The library/media center is accessible to both school and parish, and the building provides collaborative learning spaces throughout.
