Evergreen Branch LibraryThe Evergreen library was part of a public bond-funded group of city branch libraries. The structure is a 21,000 sf one-story building and includes study rooms, a tech center, a net café and community room. The building’s gracefully sloped roof with large cantilever overhangs is framed with glu-laminated beams and lumber decking. Biggs Cardosa provided the structural design for this state-of-the-art library that incorporates elements of environmentally friendly “green architecture.”
