Apple Parking Structure Quality Control Review (Design/Build)Performed a Quality Control review of two expansive four-story parking structures and connecting ramps and bridges that are key components of the Cupertino Apple campus. These two structures total almost 2 million square feet and will accommodate 5900 vehicles. The Quality Control review ran parallel with the design effort to expedite the City review process and to permit early casting of high volume precast elements. The tightly scheduled Quality Control review was essential to meeting the overall project design schedule. The Quality Control review included value engineering input to reduce costs and also improve building and ramp structural performance. Biggs Cardosa also provided input during the concept development of the Speed ramps and vehicular and pedestrian bridges spanning between the two structures. |
